2023 Workshops/Auditions Info

Bakersfield College's Indoor Drum Line will be holding preseason workshops/auditions on Sunday, October 23rd for students that are interested in training with our staff and/or auditioning for our winter season. The workshops are open to any students ages HS-22 who are interested in marching percussion.

Schedule:

8:00am - Registration/Check-in
9:00am - Opening Meeting and Introductions
9:30am - Block #1
12:00pm - Lunch (NOT PROVIDED. On your own)
1:00pm - Block #2
4:45pm - Wrap up
5:00pm - Pack/Load/Clean

Cost:
  • There will be a one-time audition fee of $20. 
  • Cash, card, and check are all acceptable forms of payment.
    • Checks can be made payable to the "Bakersfield College Foundation". Please list "BC Drumline - *YOUR NAME*" in the memo.
  • This one-time audition fee will cover your entire workshop/audition process. Auditioning for multiple instruments/positions DOES NOT require another audition fee payment.

What to Bring:
  • Printed & completed KCCD Release Form
    • Applicants under 18 must have this form signed by a parent or guardian BEFORE attending the workshop!
  • Equipment – Most equipment will be provided, but it's a good idea to bring your own sticks and a pad.
  • Food/Water – Lunch is NOT PROVIDED. Please bring a sack lunch or food money and your own water jug.
    • There are several fast-food options within a short driving distance of the college.
  • Appropriate rehearsal attire
