After a day full of planes, trams, and automobiles, the BC Drumline is in Ohio! Everything went smoothly, and tonight the members are settling down in the hotel resting up for a long day of rehearsal tomorrow. We're happy to be back at the same place in Troy, OH...our home away from home...and tomorrow we'll meet up with our friends from Edison College up the road in Piqua. A full day ahead of us...time to get some sleep!
The road to Dayton is not a smooth one...literally. Only a few hours into the first drive and the equipment trailer had a tire issue. Our crew barely skipped a beat, and in no time they had the trailer back on the road. It's gonna take more than a rough road to stop Buddy and Ken. Be sure to follow our progress this week. The members start their journey to Dayton on Tuesday, and you can follow their progress at BCDrumline.org or on social media. And if you want to make sure they get there, you can donate now to help cover our costs...for example: replacement tires!
Get More: www.mtvu.com Last fall the Bakersfield College Renegade Line was invited to appear in a music video featuring the new alt-pop group, THE GRTNS. The members traveled to LA for the shoot, shared the sound stage with several talented performers, and had a great time doing what they do best.
We're excited to announce that the video was just released on MTV and Vevo! The song expresses the belief that there is "Greatness" inside all of us, and that it can reveal itself in infinite shapes and forms. You can check out the video and support THE GRTNS and the BCDL by voting here: http://www.mtvu.com/music/ashley-poole-kesington-kross-mark-battles-the-bots-the-grtns/ A special forces unit from the BC Renegade Line was deployed early this morning to drum up support for Operation 14-15! Some people know the BCDL from football games, others from PPAACC and WGI shows. But not everyone knows that the line is out there drumming it up on campus, in the community, and all over town representing Bakersfield College. The crew on campus this morning was happy to help spread the word about Financial Aid Awareness Week at BC. If you want to learn more visit http://www.bakersfieldcollege.edu/finaid/
